The LAC’s Rajko Knez, PhD (Vice-Chairperson), Marko Djinović (Secretary General) and Nejc Lahne (Deputy Secretary General) spoke at the WOLF THEISS 1st Ljubljana Arbitration Day - A little less litigation, a little more arbitration, on October 29 2015.
Arbitration is gaining speed in Slovenia and the wider region. In-house counsels, attorneys advising clients and local arbitral institutions play a significant role. The aim of the 1 st Ljubljana Arbitration Day is to provide, among others, practical insight into the inner workings of the two major players in the region – Ljubljana Arbitration Centre and Vienna International Arbitral Centre.
Mr. Marko Djinovic presented what makes an attractive seat of arbitration and also facts worth knowing when choosing Slovenia as the seat of arbitration.
The main novelties of the Ljubljana Arbitration Rules (2014) which are highlighting business approach to arbitrations were presented by Mr. Nejc Lahne and the topic on the Anti-Suit Injunctions under Brussels I (Recast) in the light of the Gazprom case was presented by Mr Rajko Knez.
