As the Deputy Secretary General of the LAC, Mr Lahne played a key role in a number of important projects including the renovation of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre in 2012.
He also played a notable role in the revision of the Arbitration Rules of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (the Ljubljana Arbitration Rules) which entered into force on 1 January 2014.
Mr Lahne supervised the implementation of the 2014 Ljubljana Arbitration Rules and was responsible for implementation of new practices aimed at increasing efficiency and transparency of the LAC arbitral proceedings. He supervised and coordinated the work of the Secretariat on the case management and was responsible for quality control of the LAC work.
Mr Lahne who served as Senior Counsel and Deputy Secretary General at the LAC between 2012 and 2017 said: “It has been a honour to be a part of unique story of setting up of, what is now, a trustworthy and modern institution for settling disputes in the region. I have immensely enjoyed working with the staff of the LAC and its many users around the region. I’m proud of what we have accomplished.”
