The UNCITRAL Transparency Standards and the Ljubljana Arbitration Rules

This article describes the transparency standards in investor-State dispute settlement of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), consisting of the UNCITRAL Rules on Transparency in treaty-based Investor-State Arbitration, the United Nations Convention on Transparency in Treaty-based Investor-State Arbitration as well as the Transparency Registry (to be found under: http://www.uncitral.org/transparency-registry/registry/index.jspx). The texts suggests that the Ljubljana Arbitration Rules be updated in order to attract treaty-based investor-State disputes.
